Affilistore Skins: New Download section

by David Cameron on August 7, 2008

Have you created an attractive Affilistore skin that you would like to share?

I confess that its is an area that I am just starting to explore myself. All my sites are built on the Affilistore default skin with occasional tweaks (adsense etc). Unfortunately, there is no good resource to find new Affilistore skins. I would like to resolve that.

If you have a skin that you would like to share, then please leave a comment (with your real email address)and I will contact you for details.

p.s. I don’t care whether you want to share for free (I will host your skin for download) and give your Affilistore site an honourable mention, or if you do want to sell your skin, then I will link to your payment page.

Hi,
we have created a collection of webskins designed for AffiliStore.
We we’re rather impressed with your tutorials that you have published for AffiliStore and have added a link from our website directly to your classes.

Hi David,

Always good to see the market developing and people prepared to create some new skins, whether free or not.

I do have a criticism though …. they all seem pretty much close to the original default skin in terms of styling. It would be nice to see skins that break out of the mould. $40 seems a lot to pay for a minor makeover and on a single site license too.

Hi David,
We had a few skins that we mispriced at $39.79 last week when we we’re setting up the new skins that should have been priced at $9.79.
We have since corrected the price on those webskins and have also uploaded just under 70 webskins that are complete transformations of the original design that are priced at $19.79.

I agree with you on the domain issue, as it is common practice to create several website domains to acheive additional traffic, so we have changed the terms of the license to
“Licence allows use on all domains you own”.
Once again thank you for your comments and suggestions, we look forward to any more advice you may have for us.

Hi David,

Without reviewing the changes on your skin site, your feedback here sounds really positive; I know that redesigning the skins to have a different look/feel is not without pain whereas reskinning on changing colours etc. is a much easier task.

The new pricing models sound much more fair considering your new license terms to allow multi-site usage.

Hi,
I am making some affilistore templates, at this time I have only completed one but will have more available soon. I only want £4.99 per skin.

To David Galvan,

Please clarify the situation with webskins.info. There are disturbing reports that people may have paid but not received product shortly before the site redirected to a boxed-art domain.

I also had my attention drawn to the fact that a youtube video purporting to be Affilistore skins designed by your business were in fact re-hashes of WordPress.

Grateful for comment as you have not responded to my email.
