Affilistore Gallery : Showcase Feature - Plobit
Affilistore is customisable through its template structure and the use of CSS to style. All that means that in the right hands, Affilistore need not outwardly display its roots as a free script.
As an occasional item, I will feature sites that I believe show off Affilistore 2.01 and demonstrate to a high standard just what can be achieved with the right skillset and a bit of design interpretation.
First up in this series is Plobit.co.uk (also has a sister US site at plobit.com).
The two sites are neatly linked with nice features such as bookmarking (and set as home page) and the site identity/brand logo is attractively created and doesn’t appear to be based upon clip art or standard business logo for free offerings. That alone gives a professional feel.
But where I think the site sings out is that it just looks so different from default Affilistore and looks so much more pofessional, yet the clues are still there with the featured and popular product boxes.
If I had one criticism, it would be that I think that the site would look even better with the right hand panel also restyled to blend in with the new plobit colour theme … perhaps that is on the agenda.
Anyway, Plobit.co.uk is my favourite reskinning effort of recent times …. well done Bluezon!!

If you think that you have developed a site of similar high standard that demonstrates great design ad re-skinning, why not add a comment and who knows? maybe your site could get a similar featured entry and inclusion in the Affilistore Showcase.

I love affilistore sites that have been modified and made to look original. A second Well done to Bluezon for the excellent work. I thought I’d mention here that my affilistore site has also been redesigned with a few modifications by myself but the whole skin itself was modified/created by another affilistore user (Scorpioncart is his screename in the forum) you can take a look at autocashbackmobiles.co.uk and would also recommend anyone who wants to modify their affilistore skin to speak to him. I think at the moment he has released 2 skins for use

I have been talking with Scorpioncart in the last few days … he is building a nice portfolio of sites.
Your skin isn’t bad at all. If I had a couple of criticisms of the way you have used it :
1. Not to have content on your home page is a travesty - maybe you could use some of the about us and do some phone features.
2. The bottom of the page is a bit messy with loads of links and some non-linked text (e.g. ‘About us’ just above the Affilistore licensed links)
Otherwise not bad … come back with some changes and you may be worth a feature
I am working on the homepage content, as I haven’t really had the chance to edit the existing one. Yes it kind of does look a little weird at the moment lol.
I will have the affilistore links removed soon so that it looks a little better at the bottom but in the meantime will defo look into making it a little neater.
