Does it seem crazy?

Let’s say it again …. you sell NOTHING, but you rake the money in.

Does that make sense?

At first sight or reading, of course it makes no sense at all …. but many Affiliate Networks will actually thank you for bringing new affiliates on board.

The way that they do this may be in one of two ways; and with some networks they will actually reward you twice.

If you bring a new affiliate marketer to a network, the first way that you may be rewarded is via a signup bounty … this usually isnt much; it may be £2-3 ($4-5). You will need to sign up a hell of a lot of new affiliates to make your fortune this way alone.

The second and more rewarding way that you may be thanked is the more enduring method …. by earning a perpetual percentage of the earnings made by a recruited affiliate. This will typically be around 5-10% of the earnings made by your recruit on the network to which you recruited him or her. This is called 2nd tier earnings.

The great thing is that  the 2nd tier earnings are not deducted from your recruit’s commission, therefore there is no incentive for the recruit to bypass your own referral links to the network. The recruit earns his full commission whether he joins the network independently or through your own promotional links.

Of course, affiliates will be of varying calibre, some will be dedicated to the cause; some will treat is a hobby … therefore, some may earn a fortune and you will earn a percentage of that fortune; whilst some will not persevere and will earn nothing … and you will therefore earn nothing from them.

But back to my headline and in practice you might never sell any product yourself, but your recruits become very successful in selling … you can share in their success even though you sold nothing.

The sad thing is that many networks don’t actually advertise their second tier policy or programme very well at all and may be missing additional opportunities themselves. That’s where the term Super Affiliate comes in …. it refers to someone who has a string of well-performing second tier affiliates earning on their behalf. Don’t ignore that as a point of revenue yourself.
