Affilistore Installation service now available
Whilst it is my desire to help everyone be able to set up Affilistore on their own as a DIY job, perhaps you do not want to do it yourself and would prefer someone familiar with the tool to do it for you.
I have therefore decided to provide an optional installation service which will cover :
- Setting up a database on your existing hosting
- Installing Affilistore base store
- Signing you up to Affiliate Networks and/or merchants (up to 5 merchants)
- Setting up the feeds within Affilistore
- Installing some Adsense advertisements code (I will either add your publisher ID or if you do not have one will tell you exactly how to change it over to your own when you do) – see http://www.foodwithpassion.co.uk for placement.
- If you purchase the license to remove the fixed footer link, then I will also apply it for you.
- I will set up one custom menu to your specification (provided that the feeds can support it) – N.B. Because menu navigation is based upon keyword search, some tolerance of rogue entries must be anticipated.
- If you wish, I will submit your site to many of the major search engines
- If you wish, I will attach your Google analytics tracking code to all your pages or failing that, to create a placeholder telling you exactly what you need to do to
- I will ftp a Word or PDF document to your domain containing screen grabs of all the steps that I took to set up your site, such that you will be in a good position to add to your own site with confidence.
The service does not include site logo creation nor does it include any custom skinning or personal ongoing support. Support thereafter will be available via the Affilistore Forum where I am very active.
As you will appreciate, this is time consuming activity, I therefore need to impose a charge for this level of service. I think that the charge of £40 per Affilistore install is very reasonable in the circumstances.
If you have more than one site which you would like me to install for you, I would be prepared to consider a discount. Please email david [.....at......] the-camerons.co.uk providing further details and I will provide you with a quotation.

Hi, I love the script but can you tell me how to make my site more search engine friendly? I couldn’t find an area to add meta keywords in the admin panel.
All the help would be appreciated thank you!
Hi Arsen,
Strongly recommend you join up to the forum.
However, the script is fairly well optimised for SEO already, but if you create custom navihation pages to categorise your products, you can add category keywords.
Hi David,
I like the script a lot but I almost have no experience installing such things…I’m a Commission Junction affiliate and trying to install the software but without success until now…the custom navigation I’ve added does not work (always says No products Found in subcategories)…the search does not work properly too…I think that my problem is that I don’t know how to manage the feeds (how to match the info when add the product feed)…if I buy the installation service you will also manage this kind of things?…I mean, you will install the script and the site will be working?
Luciano,
It does indeed sound like you have messed up with the column mapping when you imported the feed.
My Top Tip is to open the csv feed in Excel alongside the Affilistore Feed Mapping screen with the CJ Column Headings clearly visible. Mapping will be so much easier when you are looking at the data in the feed.
Regrettably, I am unable to take on any new install work for the foreseeable future due to time constraints. It wasn’t something that I wanted to do, but wanted to create a backstop where people would come having tried everything for themselves. Unfortunately some folks abused my time (lots of it), getting free consultancy on how to optimise the data etc, not turning up for pre-arranged online meetings etc … and I never got paid a dime. That has also factored in meantime in my decision to pause.
HOWEVER, Nothing has changed in respect of wanting to help folks get started. but until at least the end of this year, it will be on an adhoc basis via the forum. I just don’t have time for anything else right now.
Do try opening the feed alongside the mapping screen first … and use the Affiliate Window mapping instructions for import as a guide; Commission Junction (and any other csv feed isn’t so different).
Only start developing custom navigation when you are happy that the products are displaying properly through the standard product navigation. To try and build custom navigation any earlier will leave you wondering whether your custom navigation is badly constructed or the product data isn’t loaded right.
If you still need more help then stop by the forum.
Hi there,
To which file should I attach my analytics tracking code?
Cheers
